Current Status and Outlook | Tropical Storm HAIKUI (SALOME) slows down as it moves farther away from the country. Its easternmost rainbands are still affecting the western portions of Pangasinan and Zambales. This cyclone is expected to move out of the western border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) around midnight Saturday. 24-hr Outlook: TS HAIKUI (SALOME) is forecast to intensify into a Severe Tropical Storm (STS) as it tracks northwest to west-northwestward across the South China Sea at a forward speed of 20 kph by Saturday morning (Nov 11). *The storm's rainbands together with its Trough and the enhanced Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) – will bring occasional light to at times moderate rain showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds along Extreme Northern and Northern Luzon today. |
